TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY FRIDAY

Please help us celebrate our fabulous staff this Friday, May 16th! Please bring your choice of breakfast, juice, snacks or lunch foods, paper plates, paper cups and/or utensils to the office at drop-off or help clean up during pick-up time.

8TH GRADE/GRADUATION UPDATE

We are rapidly closing in on the end of our school year and we are starting to think about Graduation for our 8th graders. Graduation will be Thursday June 19th. Time TBD.

Please join us for our first planning meeting to discuss the Graduation ceremony, pot luck party, tasks and organization. We will be meeting after the 6/7/8 classroom meeting.

Schedule for Wednesday May 21st:

• 6/7/8 Classroom Meeting 3:30 to 4:30
• Graduation Planning Meeting directly afterwards at 4:45 (all community members welcome) in the 7/8 classroom.

Also, the 8th graders also had their first planning meeting today to talk about the annual 8th grade trip. Look for more info to come on that front!

BEAUTIFICATION DAY SATURDAY

Please join us for the next Pacifica Beautification Day! It takes place this Saturday, May 17th from 9:30 am to 3pm. We need all our families to participate!

Our last few Beautification Days have not had the attendance that we would like to see! We have quite a number of tasks that need to be accomplished and we need full participation in order to do so.

Those of you that have not been able to participate as much as you would like, this is your opportunity. Get those participation hours in before the school year ends! It's also a very important day as a lot of the tasks will focus on getting our school ready for the summer.

Lite snacks will be provided and kids are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate as well. This is a great opportunity for all our students to give back to the community. Please make every effort to attend and do your part. It makes a huge difference.

FLUORESCENT LIGHT FUNDRAISER

Don’t forget to get your orders in for environmentally friendly fluorescent light bulbs by the due date next Tuesday, May 20th. Pick up an order form in the front entrance!

STATE TESTING CONTINUES

State testing for grades 2 through 8 continues through May 23rd. We will need help setting up and breaking down on the following days and times: 
 

      Set-up: May 19th, 8:30-8:45am

      Breakdown: May 16th, 3:00pm

                  May 23rd, 3:00pm

SPRING JUBILEE IS MAY 31!

Don’t forget to sign up for booths! Bring your culinary, entertainment and/or artistic talents to Pacifica and help raise $ for our school! We need games and activities for and by students, food booths to feed our hungry community, art projects, games or whatever you care to contribute to the fun and excitement. Get together with classmates or other families and sign up soon!
