MARY SUE IS BACK!
We all welcome Mary Sue back to school this week, after having to go take care of her parents, who were both in the hospital last week. Her parents are back home and doing well, and she thanks everyone for all their well wishes.
COMMITTEES NOW FORMING
The Parent Participation Committee welcomes all to a new year at Pacifica! It is time to get our committees in order. If you have not seen the committee register or been contacted by your committee, please take a moment when walking through the hall to check the board, where we have posted this year’s committee listings. Please check to make sure you are on one of our school committees. If you aren't, or if you are on a committee that you feel might not work for you, or if you have any questions, please let us know by dropping a note in the Parent Participation mailbox in the office, or e-mail sahira@pacificaschool.org. We are looking forward to a very exciting year!
CALLING ALL WRITERS!
Pacifica’s newsletter, the Pacifica Press is seeking writers to submit articles to be published in this year’s editions. If you always wanted to be a reporter, you can hunt down your own stories, or if you’re willing to take on a writing assignment, please contact our editor, Rubi Burke at rubi@pacificaschool.org.

CLASSROOM UPDATES
6/7/8 Group:
Monday we had a great adventure on the high ropes course. People really came together and supported each other physically and emotionally. People faced personal and interpersonal challenges. It was amazing watching tears of fear turn into tears of joy.
The 6/7/8 group has done a lot of work building community. We are very excited to begin our long term projects. We are also working on a variety of field trip ideas to challenge ourselves to grow academically, personally and as a group.
