Thanks to everyone
in the Pacifica community who helped make the Spring Festival a great
success. A big holla! to the many who came and had a great time at the
Silent Auction, enjoyed the delicious Taste of Pacifica delights,
grooved to the entertainment, and danced with the spirits.
Others with whom
we could not have done with out include Fundraising Committee co-chair
Anna Wayne who, like Dan, was at the festival from start to finish. Also
lending invaluable support were Janin Paine, Gabe Trevizo, Cliff,
Michael, Lakshmi and so importantly, Mel from the church, who saved the
day with electrical support. CLASSROOM UPDATES Sascha’s Class This week we will be preparing for a trip to Will Rogers Beach. If any parents are available to chaperone, please let me know. We are continuing work on a play about unionization entitled “Trouble in the Henhouse.” We have been working with fractions and percentages, and will focus on prime numbers and factorization. We will revisit the haiku form, and learn about iambic pentameter. Seuss-ism“A person’s a person, no matter how small.” -Horton Hears a Who! |
