Alfie Kohn, author of Punished By Rewards, Unconditional Parenting, and his latest The Homework Myth (which favorably mentions Pacifica) will speak about the Negative Effects of Punishment/Reward Systems and Homework on Learning.

This event will take place at the First Lutheran Church building (adjacent to Pacifica), 3735 Hughes Ave, LA 90034, and is free of charge thanks to support provided by Pacifica Community Charter School, New Roads School and the Palms Neighborhood Council.
